the one where Jaycie + Rex get married at the Buddy Holly Performing Arts Center

“Some nights are not meant for sleeping. They are meant for writing and reading Poetry.”
Avijeet Das

Rex and Jaycie’s wedding night? It was meant for endless dancing and singing at the top of our lungs! So much fun and so many good people together in one space celebrating these two!!!

I’m behind on blogging, social media posts, lunches with friends, HAIRCUTS, even laundry, but I wouldn’t change a thing. My days are spent with Holland, my granddaughter, and it’s the best do-over in the world, taking care of your daughter’s daughter. Seriously. The BEST! So, those of you waiting on the edge of your seats for beautiful images from many beautiful weddings, thank you. Here’s a slideshow to start us off!

Rex is he youngest of the McGehee’s and he got all the attitude and BS of the other 3 boy in his blood times 10! He makes me laugh all the time and he loves Jaycie with all his heart. These two are childhood sweethearts and I love it so so much. They were married this past fall at the Fabulous Buddy Holly Performing Arts Center. You know that big building off the Marsha Sharp with the tornado on the side? Yep. That one. Heirloom in Slaton did the AMAZING florals and the BEST BAND EVER played the music. I think of it as Caldwell Entertainment, however we lost Mr. Don Caldwell so now even though it’s the BEST of that band, it’s not the name anymore. It is now STAGE LEFT PRODUCTIONS | EVENT AND MUSIC. Still kick-ass all the same.

I know I should tag more folks that worked this wedding, like vendors, but honestly? I’m not good at that stuff. I can tag those that helped me photograph this one though. My good friend Nathan from Dallas, who’s an outstanding documentary photographer and another up and coming photographer, Kathleen Bednarz who just recently go her website up. Go and have and look and give these folks some love. I’ll post some of my favorites of their work below.

To view more pictures of Jaycie + Rex, just hit the search bar and you can find their engagement photos as well as Jaycie’s bridals. KILLER GOWN! It was just perfect for her and this wedding.

Okay, on to the sneak peeks! Click that slideshow above, but I’ll share a few of my favs as well.

Love does,
Kristin

Everyone stayed to the end and sent the couple off in a fabulous ride driven by the bride’s grandfather. How cool is that?
