Libby + Hunter were married on Friday, the 30th and I finally get to share her gorgeous gown! I’ve watched this sweet girl grow up into a lovely young lady and we made some of the most beautiful photographs together! Soon, I’ll post her wedding photos. As soon as I recover from my crazy SAUSAGEFEST weekend! Right now? Where’s the coffee?

the one with Kathleen's bridal session at the Creative Chateau
This is Kathleen and she’s marrying Dalton this summer. I met her in Houston to photograph her bridal session! If you know me, you know I LOVE bridal sessions! It’s like the human barbie that can bend and I get to play with her!!! Takes me back to my childhood yet I get to use my adult camera knowledge, with at this point is 25+ years. #olderwiser I pulled out all the stops to get creative with the time we had at the Chateau. It was GORGEOUS! But busy! It’s a space you can rent for photography, events, etc. in Houston. Very pretty and in a neighborhood that is quite lovely as well. We went on a short drive around the block to get a few more locations with her gorgeous gown!

If you are getting married, I highly recommend having a BRIDAL SESSION before your big day. It’s a great way to do a “rehearsal” of what works and all. You know, how long does it take to get in my gown? It’s also the most time you will spend in your wedding dress before the wedding. You find out if you can bend, raise your arms to dance, if you can breathe. You know, the important things in life. LOL
Kathleen, you are a gorgeous bride! You’ve done so well at putting everything together while graduating college, moving to a new city, planning a wedding almost a state away! Let’s face it, West Texas is practically New Mexico. PLUS, trips galore! You’ve been so busy and you’ve handled this all like a CHAMP! Major LOVE for you girl!!!!

I’m not sure what I thought the dress would look like? I mean, I knew she was getting married. I knew we were photographing her bridals. But geez! When I think of Brittney, I think of sports clothes and stinky socks. LOL. I mean, moms of all daughters will relate. They are sugar and spice…am I right? So, when I arrived at Eberley Brooks to photograph her bridal session, WOW! She took my breath away! Brittney! Your dress was absolutely perfect for you! It was lovely, a bit sexy even, yet fun and lively and perfect for a grand celebration! BRAVO!

Of course the day you schedule your bridal, the wind will blow. It’s a West Texas rule. Where there’s a girl in white, the wind comes to watch. So, when Mayci scheduled hers, I called Sophia’s Place. HELLO! It’s a perfect blank canvas in West Texas for anything you might have planned. I love photographing there!
Mayci could arrive and get dressed in their bridal suite. They had air conditioning AND a bathroom. Something rare in our West Texas landscape. LOL. AND the best part? The windows! I LOVE the natural light in this space! It’s perfect for a pretty girl in a gorgeous gown!

Hi, blog readers. Kelsie + Frank are married and I can now share her GORGEOUS bridal images!!! HELLO! Can I just tell you how badass this girl is? She worked all day, showed up with her makeup and dress and did everything herself in under 30 minutes. THEN she rocked it like HARD CORE and impressed the heck out of me with her poses and those long gorgeous arms! I could have photographed her all day!!!
Brides, a bridal session is a MUST! It doesn’t have to be completely over the top. It’s all about you in your gown feeling AMAZING! I highly recommend booking a bridal session. Just pick up that phone and give me a call.

Carli Fulcher, aka “the Future Mrs. Ben McGehee” was simply stunning in her gown! She was photographed by the kick-ass photographer, Kristin Bednarz at the Gardens on Texas Tech campus. BRAVO!
I’m not sure I can find the words, really. She chose the gown before she chose the venue. She dreamed of a beach wedding, after all her and Ben have spent time on the beach. Falling in love, growing up really and here she is getting married today! And me? I’m dealing with the fact that “All American Boy”, as I used to call him when he was little, because he dove into any sport with such gusto and love, is GETTING MARRIED TODAY!
It’s not the beach wedding, instead? Spirit Ranch, but it’s definitely a beach themed gown. The train reminds me of seashells. And what a train it is! No need for a veil with this gown. It’s perfect for Carli. Perfect for her wedding day.
I can’t wait to share more photos from this weekend. Check back in the AM. I’ll try and share a couple before I head to mass. We had a wonderful rehearsal dinner last night celebrating these two and kicking off the tone for the weekend.

The coolest thing is when the bride’s let down their hair at the end of their session and just ROCK it out like Miranda Lambert! YES! I vote YES!
I’ve been sitting on these gorgeous bridal photos for a month! And HELLO! That is not an easy feat during COVID-19. It truly was super hard not to post these on social media. SUPER!
Taylor and Brannon are getting married today and it’s been a stressful road for the two of them. Planning a wedding in the midst of a pandemic is hard. They had to move the wedding location, cut down the guest list drastically and somehow let everyone know in a kind manner, yet still get married. It happens later today and I get to be one of the lucky ones to witness the ceremony.
Thank you Taylor and Brannon, for remaining true to each other through this entire mess. And thank you, Taylor for trusting me when I suggested, “hey, let’s take your hair down and do some photographs with a beach wave look.”. Ain’t no beaches in West Texas, but she sure made it look like there was!

Okay, blog readers. You know I love photographing brides! I really do. I’ve blogged bridal tips before and if you click the category section of this blog, you will see 100’s of pretty girls in gorgeous dresses! It’s one of my favorite things to photograph! And Faith in her gown was no exception. HELLO! Just look at her above? In love!
I drove from Lubbock and met her and her mom at her place. Just in circling the block around her cute little college town house, I spied a pretty church that I thought would work great for a starting place before we headed out to the Canyon . Duh? Why do you think I headed north? When Faith first contacted me about photographing her wedding, I knew I wanted to photograph her bridal in Palo Dura Canyon. Especially this time of year! No heat, only pretty scenes.
I’ll share a few and then please, please, please post a comment or two. I love chatting about brides and bridals and wedding details and Faith’s dress deserves a good conversation. LOVE IT!
