Our vacation
Can I even call it that? I mean, I didn't get to take Devin with me, so it's not even a family vacation. Even though FAMILY was there, surrounding us. With us every day. In and out.
So, yes, family vacation, but oh, too quickly gone by.
This is the bunch I went with. Oh, say 6 years ago. The cousins.
Yep. From left to right, Brooke, Summer, Jack and Kalyn.
Here's the bunch today. Oh, how cute they still are! And so much more fun to hang around. I'm not kidding! Fun to be around and play off their witty bantor. We get in giggle fits together and just enjoy each other's company. I enjoyed them before, don't get me wrong. But they didn't get very many of my jokes way back in the day. Now? You can't get anything past this bunch.
WITTY, I tell you. WITTY
With Roswell being the 1/2 way point, our tummies were rubling. A quick search on URBAN SPOON yielded the Cowboy Cafe. The reviews suggested the Green Chili Cheeseburger and we CHOWED. I highly recommend the place and be sure and go the bathroom and check out the walls. Yep. Just sayin'.
something else in Roswell?
Aliens.
Of course we had to stop and snap a few.
Now this trip was thrown together pretty last minute. Meaning, Emily, my wonderful SIL, planned the entire thing and invited us along. Thank you, Emily! We had a beautiful cabin surrounded 360 with beautiful views.
And a few bears.
These little guys were all over the place. Checking out the territory and guarding the house. :)
There's Jason and Emily right up there above. CUTE CUTE! I'm blessed to enjoy my inlaws. Don't you think?
We went the horseraces, the kids rode horses, not the race horses, but the ones you pay for to ride, on the trail. We hung out in the hot tub and just enjoyed being together in new places.
Of course the big hight light of the trip, THE DEER. They came up to the cabin and we had the chance to see them first hand.
Great quick vacation!
Now, back to work!
