the one where I go to a Bachelorette Party

I’ve been trying to post this blog post for a week. I’m having issues with the writing and it driving me a bit insane. But I’m thinking it’s going to be ok.  

This is my friend Keri.

This is Sydni, Keri’s daughter that is getting married in July this year. AND we are all at the lake celebrating.

Sydni and my youngest are 5 weeks apart. They’ve been friends forever! Like FOREVER.

So, when the bridesmaids decided to throw her a Bachelorette Party, I decided to tag along and photograph the dang thing and hang out for the weekend with my very good friend Keri.

Look how GORGEOUS this place is! HELLO! The girl’s rented a lake house at Hell’s Gate at Possum Kingdom. It was AWESOME! I honestly felt like a Kardashian without all the extensions and makeup.

How swanky is this place? It even had the Sonos feature with music inside and out. LOVE!

I’ve decided after this weekend, I should quit being a wedding photographer and simply be a Party Photographer. Thoughts?

All the bridesmaids came except Keilie. HELLO! Big Mistake. HUGE. We missed you, girl.

We spent every minute we could, in the pool. I was covered in sunscreen head to toe and played “bartender”. Go ahead, ask them about the homemade cucumber margaritas. Total YUM.

This may have been made after they drank one of those, not sure. LOL

Floaties are fun!

This is Baylee. I have video of Baylee, Summer Zoe and Sydni dancing to Justin Bieber when they were freshmen. I’m only telling you all this so you can beg me to post it. Please leave a comment below if so. LOVE YOU, BAYLEE!

Pool floats are the BEST.

I feel like everyone in the world tans way better then me. For sure.

Of course we relaxed, and of course we tried stupid things with pool floats when we had a burst of energy. That’s what you do at a pool party, right? Surf the floats!

I tried to photograph every one there, but I’m sure I missed a few. I kept thinking one day, looking back they will LOVE having photos of themselves at a pool party. I know I would of me. Except for the fact that when I was their age at a pool party, I wore zinc. Remember the white stuff? Yep. That was me. Covered head to toe in the stuff.

Just a wonderful weekend people. I need more of these kinds of weekends in my life. Weddings are great! Don’t get me wrong, but can one earn a living off photographing pool parties? I think I’m going to try.

This is the groom’s sister. She had such a classic vibe about her. JCrew comes to mind.

We tried to get everyone on the duck for a picture. We did, but then, it was hard to tell who’s head belonged to which arm and leg? So dang funny!

The sun was starting to set that last night and I kept getting Chesney’s song in my head, “When the sun goes down…”

This house had turf which was blazing hot and unwalkable on for the most part, during the day. So, when that sun set, we took group photos. I love how they turned out!!!

I was having trouble with this software and it was making me angry so I just came here to finish my blog post. I just wanted to brag on this group of girls and how much fun the weekend was. Sydni had a wonderful weekend and I feel like relaxed and enjoyed herself. I know there was tons of laughter! And this group was so awesome to let me tag along. Thank you for that!!!!

AND if anyone reading this is thinking, “I want fun pictures and margaritas at my next party”, call me. LOL
